RAC – Ready For It ft. St. Lucia

RAC used to stand for “Remix Artist Collective”, and their focus was on remixing music without necessarily making it dance music, but just different and interesting. These days it’s just the title that solo artist André Allen Anjos works under, making zero sense but according to his website, “who cares?”.

He’s currently right in the middle of releasing his debut album. How can you be in the middle of releasing an album? It’s split into two parts – Strangers Part I was released on the 4th of March and Strangers Part II  will be released on the 1st of April.

Much of RAC’s work is collaborative, you may have heard his song with Kele from Bloc Party “Let Go”. This album will also feature Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Tegan and Sara amongst many others.

“Ready For It” is set to be on the second part of Strangers and it features St. Lucia’s Jean-Philip Grobler and his wife Patricia Beranek. The beautiful intermingling vocals and wonderful production has captured my ears and taken me on a ride. Give it a preview on iTunes or while we wait for the song to become available, listen to “Tear You Down” featuring Alex Ebert, another song off Strangers, below
